I believe one of the hardest, most rewarding experiences is learning to let go of the image of a perfect life and focusing on becoming who you truly are. As a therapist, I understand how difficult, yet satisfying that journey might be. My work with each client is unique; I use a blend of techniques which include strength-based, solution focused, client centered, and Gestalt methods - always focusing on the client's therapeutic goals as well as their strengths. My goal is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore concerns, while balancing empathy with an engaged and interactive style.
I have 10 years experience working in the mental health field with primarily children and adolescents, ages 5 years old to 17 years old. I am very passionate about utilizing play therapy in my practice with young children, and enjoy working with parents on ways to improve their relationship with their children, increase parenting skills, as well as engage parents in the process of therapy.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
I particularly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Some of my specialities include utilizing play therapy with young children, adolescent substance abuse, and working with high school/college athletes.
